Unfortunately, the tournaments originally scheduled in Pennsylvania and Connecticut later this year will no longer be sanctioned American Backgammon Tour (ABT) events, along with the Massachusetts State Backgammon Championships.
Players who participated in the Massachusetts State Backgammon Championships last weekend will still receive their earned ABT Points.
We recognize the impact this decision will have on players living in New England who will now have fewer tournaments within close traveling distance. The USBGF will continue to sanction new tournaments that meet quality standards that lift the image and aspirations of the ABT and all of its organizers.
