Karen Davis – 2021 Hall of Fame Inductee

The U.S. Backgammon Federation is pleased to announce the selection of Karen Davis into the American Backgammon Hall of Fame. John Pirner, President/Executive Director of the USBGF, noted, “Karen’s leadership and passion for organized backgammon is an inspiration for everyone who serves with her.  Her greatest legacy to the game is as an organization builder, most notably of the U.S. Backgammon Federation.  Without her vision, her passion, and her incredible energy the USBGF would not exist today.  Our community owes her our gratitude.”  As a result of her innovative efforts, the USBGF is recognized internationally for its leadership in advancing the awareness, participation, education and enjoyment of the skill-based game of backgammon.  Her creative contributions have helped make PrimeTime Backgammon magazine the premier publication of the gaming community.  Her leadership in the Founding Sponsor program has resulted in over 200 individual and corporate sponsors, including her own generous contributions as a Beaver Founding Sponsor. Karen has served on the Board of Directors of the USBGF since its founding in 2009; she was Chairman for seven years and President/Executive Director for three.
