Online Team Selection
Selections prioritize measurable performance and follow this order each year:
-
- Top 2 finishers from the prior year’s OTS
-
- Top 2 finishers from the WBIF World Women’s Championship Finals (excluding already-qualified players)
-
- Top 2 WBIF all-time PRs
*For an 8-player format, two additional spots may be awarded at committee discretion from any of these three categories.
In-Person Team Selection
The in-person team consists of five players, including one alternate. Invitations will go to the top four players based on BMAB Performance Rating as of January 1 each year. This fixed annual selection date ensures consistency and minimizes ambiguity. The fifth spot is reserved for an alternate, selected in order of BMAB PR.
We believe these refinements continue to create a transparent, performance-driven structure that supports player development and strengthens our competitive presence internationally. We’ll continue to assess and improve the process as we go.
If you have any questions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you.
