Norm Wiggins is one of backgammon’s most distinguished figures. He was touted at his 80th birthday party in 2010 for his courteous, gentlemanly demeanor that has made him so beloved by family, friends, and fellow backgammon players. His book Boards, Blots, and Double Shots is a recommended must reading for all aspiring players. John O’Hagan placed the book on his Recommended Reading List, noting that it is quite well-written and even top players can learn from the variety of positions in the book. Wiggins won the Super-32 Jackpot at the 2014 California State Championships. He has been a mainstay of the Gammon Associates club in Los Angeles since its founding.
