Crawford’s gentlemanly manner and expertise extended beyond gameplay, as he also authored and co-authored books on various games, including “The Backgammon Book” with Oswald Jacoby. His contributions to the world of games solidified his legacy as a strategic thinker and innovator. He passed away in Manhattan on February 14, 1976.
