Come join us for backgammon, sun, and fun at the Sunny South Florida Backgammon Championship Sunday, January 28, 2018, at The Embassy Suites, 1100 SE 17th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. $1000 added money from the U.S. Backgammon Federation and other sponsors!! Registration onsite will start at 10 am and play begin promptly at 11:00 am. Greg Lilley, Rick Wolf, and Jason Briggs are on the tournament staff.

The Main tournament has three divisions: Championship (entry $150 with $100 side pool); Advanced ($75 entry with $50 side pool), and Novice ($20 entry). 90% return in Main events and 100% return in side pools. In addition there is a First Serve Charity Jackpot ($50 entry). For those out of the Main event, there will be continuous entry 4- and 8-person Knockouts (85% return) until 9 pm. So come and get in a full day of play!

Prizes! Added Money! The U.S. Backgammon Federation is donating $200 to the USBGF member who goes the furthest in the Championship division. Plus the USBGF Winner receives fee entry to an online tournament to compete for a free ABT entry at an American Backgammon Tour tournament of their choice. So join or renew your USBGF membership to qualify for these prizes: The First Serve Charity Jackpot has $800 added money, with 50% of proceeds going to First Serve, an excellent charity that teaches backgammon and tennis to young people. Exquisite FTH Doubling Cubes are provided to Novice and Advanced Division Winners and Winners of 8-player Knock Outs. Trophies will be awarded to Main division and First Serve Charity Jackpot winners.
