Chuck Bower is a member of the USBGF Board of Governors and the Editorial Advisory Board. He is a self-employed computer analyst. He has formed a partnership venture with backgammon player Frank Frigo to develop sports software, and was featured in the New York Times for his work analyzing NFL strategy. He was formerly a physicist with Indiana University at Bloomington. A prolific author, he is ranked in the top 50 ABT players. He is one of the four members of the U.S. team in the inaugural International Backgammon Championships. In 2011 he won the Chicago Open. In 2010 he finished first in the Pittsburgh doubles and second in the Wisconsin doubles, with fellow Hoosier Sean Garber.
