Jeremy Bagai received his doctorate in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. He studied decision theory: the ways in which we evaluate outcomes, assign probabilities, and select courses of action. Naturally, he used these skills to become a professional backgammon player.
He wrote the critically acclaimed book, Classic Backgammon Revisited, and published it along Backgammon Boot Camp (Trice) and Backgammon Praxis (Storer) through The Fortuitous Press, which he owns and operates (www.fortuitouspress.com).
He has taught at the Wharton School of Business, U.C. Berkeley, and Compass Education Group, and traded options for Susquehanna International Group. He has written and edited for Wiley Publishing and Word One New York. He now enjoys using his writing and analytic skills as well as his gambling background as Senior Product Manager at CyberArts, where he writes software specifications and manages teams of developers.
