Art Benjamin

Art Benjamin is a member of the USBGF Board of Directors, and professor of mathematics at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California.  Known as the “mathemagician”, he has demonstrated and explained his techniques for performing rapid mental arithmetic to audiences throughout the world, and in his book Secrets of Mental Math. Reader’s Digest calls him “America’s Best Math Whiz.” An accomplished backgammon player, he has finished in first, second, and third place in the American Backgammon Tour.
