Carter Pfeifer Mattig is a member of the USBGF Board of Governors. He is a professional sound engineer and adopted son of Denmark and London. He started his professional backgammon career in Las Vegas by coming in 2nd in 2000 in both the intermediate main and consolation main in the twin tournament. He is considered one of the most active American backgammon players in overseas tournaments, and is a member of WBGT, WSOB, DBF and the Battersea Chouette. He was a member of the Chicago Bears USBGF National Club Team Champion.
